About the project
Asmaa has sewn for her family and neighbours for years. With the programme’s support she organised the work into a small two-machine workshop, with a fixed price list for made-to-measure and alterations and a book of delivery dates. School-uniform orders before each term are the workshop’s biggest source of income, and she brings in a second tailor, paid per piece, to meet them.
